Last week, the walls started going up on the new weight room at Zeeland East High School. Currently, cinder blocks are being stacked - this will take about 4-6 weeks, after which brick will be added on top. The finished space will house fitness equipment and an indoor turf and track.
The large steel frame you see below will eventually become a steel overhead door, providing entry and exit to the space.
The current weight room will be converted into a wrestling room, which in turn means the existing wrestling room will become two new classrooms.
