April Construction Progress

Zeeland Public Schools continues to make exciting progress to enhance our buildings and properties. In April, the main work occurred at Creekside Middle School and the Admin Building. Check out the updates below!

Updating various mechanical work around the building has been the main focus of the Creekside Middle School projects.

Workers are installing a new rooftop unit (RTU) to support heating and cooling in the gymnasium. The beams for the new RTU are now in place, and we are also installing new ductwork. Additionally, we have begun work on the boiler room.

Work has recently begun on the roof rehabilitation at Zeeland West High school!

Work on the administration building addition continues to support the district!

Internally, workers are installing the ceilings and finishing up the MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) overhead. They have applied the first coat of paint and are now prepping the bathrooms to begin tile work. The contractors have also started the rough ins for the boiler room.

Externally, workers are starting to pour site and curb concrete for the community entry.

Work will continue to update and upgrade various district areas, and we are thrilled to share more details soon. Work on Roosevelt Elementary School's HVAC system will improve airflow in the building, and we will also install a new fire alarm system. Woodbridge Elementary will receive updates to the HVAC and fire alarm as well. Roosevelt, Adams, and Woodbridge Schools will have their art rooms renovated. Improvements to the ECC building are also something to look forward to as construction progresses.

We know the Zeeland Public Schools students, community, and staff will thrive in these beautiful and functional spaces once complete. Check back in a few weeks to see what else is happening in the district!
